TLV → NYC
The heat fades, the hustle doesn’t.
Welcome back to YKC. I'm in Israel until the end of this week, so if you want to get coffee or collaborate on content respond to this email directly.
NYC x Israel: Founders Resilience Mission: Next week September 2nd-4th, I’m collaborating with Discount Tech on a timely and important project: bringing a curated delegation of Israeli startups to New York to meet with investors, ecosystem stakeholders, and strategic partners. But this isn’t just another delegation; it’s a mission of resilience, supporting Israeli founders and New York City during a defining moment for the ecosystem and strengthening the NY–Israel tech bridge. If you’re a New York based investor or ecosystem leader, and would like an invite to the (Wednesday Sept 3rd) summit that the delegation is based around message me directly.
LinkedIn Ghostwriting: My team and I have been helping investors and operators amplify their voice, share their expertise, and build a highly visible personal brand, in order to generate opportunities online and in person. Great content doesn’t work if your LinkedIn profile is broken. Want me to audit it? Respond “Audit” and we can set up a complimentary call where I review your LinkedIn presence.

Anxiety Rx: A Revolutionary New Prescription for Anxiety Relief—from the Doctor Who Created It by Russell Kennedy: This doctor is hands down one of the most underrated thinkers out there when it comes to anxiety. While the author’s experience is a bit extreme, and I don’t know if I fully buy into his thesis that all anxiety is a result of separation during childhood, there is some very practical advice in this book.
We’ve all been there, we worry about something and try all kinds of mental gymnastics to self-regulate. For years I thought I could solve the thing, with the thing, i.e. overthinking myself towards a better outcome. But at some point, I realized that a lot of my anxiety (and I will use the term “trauma” lightly here), was stored in my body. Beating yourself up over some thought pattern, or reoccurring behavior, is pointless if it’s not your mind that is on a default setting in response to an old trigger, but your body. I am all for therapy, but what if it’s not just talking out a problem we have, but understanding how to deal with that challenge through your body. Realizing this fact has helped me come to a better understanding of myself, and even have an epiphany regarding situations which perplexed me in the past. But these things take time to understand, and learning about yourself often feels like peeling an onion.
I self-identify as a high-agency person (as many of you reading this probably are), so naturally I’m going to have a higher anxiety level. If you’re feeling anxious and stuck, I’d highly recommend you check out this very readable book.
